MTA72ASS8G72PSZ-2S6 is a 64GB DDR4-2666 3DS registered ECC RDIMM manufactured by Micron. This 288-pin server memory module is designed for compatible enterprise servers, storage appliances and data-center platforms that support high-capacity 3DS registered DDR4 memory.

The module operates at 2666 MT/s with 22-19-19 timing and the standard DDR4 voltage of 1.2V. In addition, its registered ECC architecture supports memory-error detection and correction in compatible systems. Is MTA72ASS8G72PSZ-2S6 Compatible With My System?

Before ordering, verify that your server supports 288-pin DDR4-2666 3DS registered ECC RDIMM memory. The server must support 64GB modules, 3DS construction and the module’s 2S2Rx4 organization. Support for ordinary DDR4 RDIMMs does not automatically confirm support for 3DS RDIMMs.

This module is not interchangeable with UDIMM, ECC UDIMM, SODIMM or LRDIMM memory. Although this module is a high-capacity registered DIMM, it is not a load-reduced DIMM. Do not mix RDIMMs and LRDIMMs unless the server manufacturer explicitly supports that configuration.

The 2S2Rx4 designation means the module has two package ranks, two logical ranks within each 3DS package and x4-wide DRAM devices. It may also be described less precisely as having four logical ranks. This notation does not indicate the number of modules included. Each unit ordered contains one 64GB RDIMM.
